Mack Truck Reaches Preliminary $525M Settlement over Retiree Health Benefits

Greensboro, NC: Volvo, and its subsidiary Mack Trucks have reached a tentative settlement in a health benefits class action lawsuit brought by former employees -9,300 retirees - challenging the potential reductions that Mack Truck wanted to make to their lifetime health benefits.

According to media reports, Senior U.S. District Judge R. Barclay Surrick gave preliminary approval of the settlement, with a final hearing set for September 7th.
