NY Nurses Pay Class Action Settled for $4.5 Million

Albany, NY: A federal class action lawsuit has been settled, in part, by defendant Albany Medical Center, which has agreed to pay $4.5 million to settle its share of of the suit.

The suit was brought by 4,000 registered nurses who alleged that officials conspired with counterparts at other local hospitals to ensure pay levels did not increase.
