$9.5 Million Settlement Reached in Texas Oilfield Injury LawsuitFort Worth, TX: An oilfield accident lawsuit has been settled on behalf of 31-year-old Larry Mullins, Jr. and his family for $9.5 million dollars.On July 17, 2008, Larry Mullins was crushed by oilfield equipment being positioned by a tandem truck in a rig move in Wise County, Texas. At the time, he was an employee of Nabors Drilling USA, LP, working on a drill site location on a lease operated by EnCana Oil & Gas (USA), Inc., in Rhome, near Decatur, Texas. He was injured when a truck moving a mud pump used in drilling operations caused him to be pinned, resulting in crushed hips, pelvis and other internal injuries. He was airlifted to JPS Hospital in Fort Worth. The tandem truck was owned and operated by Fowler Transportation, Ltd., a rig moving company with its principal office in Marshall, Harrison County, Texas. The lawsuit was filed in Wise County, Texas on behalf of Larry Mullins, his wife Amy and their children, Grant and Gabrielle against Fowler Transportation, Ltd.
