UnitedHealth Agrees $350 Million Settlement

UnitedHealth has agreed to settle class action lawsuits stemming from its payments for out-of-network medical services.

The settlement resolves lawsuits filed by the American Medical Association, health plan members, healthcare providers and state medical societies, and comes on the heels of an earlier agreement with New York's Attorney General for $50 million to fund the creation of new claims database.
