Malpractice Suit Settles for $11.4 Million

A jury in Wisconsin has awarded the parents of a boy who sustained brain damage while in the care of a nurse and midwife at a local hospital, $11.4 million.

The boy suffered the trauma in 2005, but the case only recently went to court in Crawford County, Wisconsin. After 3-weeks of testimony and deliberation, the jury found in favor of the parents.
