CO Heater

Wahoo, ID: (Feb-4-08) Mary Larsen, a Wahoo woman, brought a wrongful death lawsuit against Getzschman Heating, a Fremont heating company and two employees, alleging that the company's negligence caused the death of her husband and teenage son. The suit stated that two Getzschman service technicians had been to the Larsen home the previous day, but left without repairing their furnace, disabling the furnace or connecting the exhaust vent. Larsen's lawsuit in Saunders County District Court had sought $8,440 in burial expenses plus unspecified monetary damages for the death of her husband, Ronald Larsen, 55, a farmer, and son Tim Larsen, 18, who both died of carbon monoxide poisoning inside their Wahoo home on Jan. 19, 2006.

Sources close to the case stated that the parties reached a settlement agreement resolving the wrongful death lawsuit. Both sides stated that the terms of the settlement will remain confidential. [OMAHA WORLD HERALD: CO POISONING]
