Charlevoix, MI

Charlevoix, MI: (Mar-29-07) Jacqueline Rozema, a county employee for more than two decades and longtime Charlevoix prosecutor's office manager, has been involved in a series of lawsuits against the county. As a witness in a civil case that won her and a co-plaintiff a combined $1.1 million verdict, Rozema filed a second suit alleging retaliation after the county canceled her health benefits. She alleged $300,000 for lost benefits and $100,000 in costs and attorney fees, but settled with the county for $275,000 in exchange for dropping all claims against it. I am a female department head, underpaid and constantly being written up or threatened over any complaint. I was verbally assaulted by a city commissioner in Oct of 2006 in front of the city manager and another witness. The witness agreed with me that I was threatened. The manager did not defend me. I received an e-mail from my city manager on Sept 3. threatening to fire me. I am under scrutiny at all times and don't know how much I can take. Looking for some help.
