Robert Cochonour

Chicago, IL: (Mar-18-07) Former judge Robert Cochonour was sentenced to prison in 2003 for looting the $2.2 million estate of a local businessman. The Jay Hayden Foundation that filed suit against the judge won the lawsuit with the verdict in their favor and an agreement that Cochonour would pay $5.2 million as compensation. A federal Bankruptcy Court oversaw the auction of the Cochonour family's farmland, horse barn, and seven grain bins on March 17, 2007. The ex-judge's second home, which he used for entertaining, is to be sold separately to raise the money. [CHICAGO TRIBUNE: JUDGE FRAUD]
