Hampton, VA: (Feb-14-07) Officer Seneca Darden, of Norfolk, was killed on the job in May 2006. The city of Hampton has agreed to pay the family $600,000 as compensation; they will receive $160,000 from insurance, plus $295,000 from the US Government, and $75,000 from the state of Virginia for the death of the officer while in the line of duty.
