Toyota Motor Sales USA Inc.

Los Angeles, CA: Toyota and Lexus owners filed a class action lawsuit against the automaker alleging their car engines were damaged by oil sludge. The nationwide class action was filed on behalf of all owners of certain 1997 to 2002 Toyota and Lexus models. Under the terms of the proposed nationwide settlement, Toyota Motor Sales USA will reimburse vehicle owners for the cost to repair oil sludge damage as well as other incidental costs for up to eight years from the date their vehicle was sold or leased.
