Pekin Insurance Co. Class Action Dismissed

A class action lawsuit was filed against the insurance company alleging improper reduced payments for treatment of patients who suffered injuries in accidents. The lawsuit claimed Pekin acts and omissions constituted fraud, civil conspiracy, unjust enrichment, and were in violation of the Illinois Consumer Fraud Act. Madison County Circuit Judge Lola Maddox dismissed the class action suit noting plaintiffs suffered no out of pocket losses. (Dec-12-06) [MADISON COUNTY RECORD: PEKIN DISMISSED]
