CVS Corp.

New York, NY: CVS Corp. previously settled allegations that its sweepstakes failed to provide an in-store method of entering the sweepstakes for consumers who did not make a purchase. The offer was for a chance to win a $1,000 CVS/pharmacy gift card every week during the Nascar racing season. Attorney General Eliot Spitzer recently filed civil charges against the company for allegedly violating the previous settlement related to a sweepstakes offer. CVS Corp. agreed to pay $152,000 in civil penalties. (Oct-16-06) [MARKETWATCH: CVS SWEEPSTAKES]
