Dixie Egg Company

Valdosta - In May 2003, a tractor trailer killed a college student in an intersection while the student was driving home from the Valdosta Mall movie theater. A jury determined that the truck driver, Fred Adams, of Alabama was driving too fast for conditions and was in violation of Federal regulations by being fatigued at the time of the crash. The decedent was a 25-year-old information technology student who lived at home with his parents. The tractor trailer belonged to Dixie Egg Company of Jacksonville, FL. They have agreed to a $1.5 wrongful death settlement. (Sep-08-06)
