Formula One, Michelin North America and the Indianapolis Motor Speedway
A class action lawsuit against Formula One, Michelin North America and the Indianapolis Motor Speedway has been dismissed. The lawsuit, brought about by racing fans regarding the boycott of the U.S. Grand Prix by seven race teams in 2005, asked for punitive damages, damages for ticket costs, travel expenses and food. A U.S. District Judge rule the fans had no basis to sue and the Michelin teams made the right decisions based on competitive and professional interests. (Jun-16-06)
