Global Limo and BusBank

BusBank hired Global Limo on to help nursing home residents flee from Hurricane Rita. The bus caught fire near Dallas; flames fed by medical oxygen tanks created an explosion and killed 23 nursing home patients. The driver of the bus and some passengers managed to escape. Family members of those who died and surviving patients filed a lawsuit against the bus owner and travel broker alleging personal injury, negligence and wrongful death. Global Limo and BusBank have agreed to an $11 million settlement. (May-12-06) [ MANKATO FREE PRESS ]
