Unidynamics/Phoenix Inc. and Crane Co.

From 1963 to 1993 Crane manufactured and tested explosives for the Defense Department in the city of Goodyear and left hazardous waste that seeped into the area's groundwater. The city filed a lawsuit against Crane for habitually failing to obey federal orders to clean up toxic chemicals. Unidynamics/Phoenix Inc. and Crane Co. agreed to pay a $2 million settlement for cleanup and water well replacement. (Feb-13-06) [ARIZONA REPUBLIC]
