Mount Vernon Hospital

A lawsuit was filed against the New York Hospital for allegedly operating an unlicensed alcohol treatment facility that improperly collected millions in Medicaid payments. The hospital also allegedly paid Applied CaseManagement Inc. $60,000 a month to refer Medicaid patients to the hospital's alcohol treatment facility. Mount Vernon Hospital has agreed to pay a $2.65 million settlement for illegal kickbacks and an unlicensed operation. (Aug-03-05)
