A $5 million dollar settlement has been reached in the class action lawsuit filed against the City of New York and the Neponsit Health Care Cente on behalf of residents. The suit was filed on behalf of 278 residents who were evacuated from the center in 1998, causing them exteme trauma. The residents, or their surviving family members, will each receive $18,000 as a result of the incident. (Jun-03-03)
