And unlike closing a building for renovations for example, a major highway without a readily available detour must function and pass traffic, such as cars and tractor-trailers, even in the midst of construction chaos. It was in such a scenario that a major trucking accident occurred, and this month a jury handed an injured driver more than $2 million for his suffering.
