Brooklyn, NY: Investigators want to determine just what the driver involved in a horrific bus crash March 12 in New York was doing in the 72 hours leading up to the crash. Driver Ophadell Williams told police that a truck had clipped his bus, causing him to lose control in a crash that killed 14 passengers and injured more than a dozen others, some critically. But some passengers aboard the doomed tour bus claim that the bus had swerved from the road several times, prior to the crash.

New York, NY: At least thirteen people died in a bus crash when the bus they were traveling in rolled onto its side and was sliced in half by a support pole for a large sign. In addition to the thirteen killed in the bus accident, another eight were in critical condition. The bus crashed on March 12 on a busy highway in the Bronx.

Corpus Christi, TX: A jury in El Paso, Texas, has awarded the families of two migrant workers killed in a 2005 bus crash a record $132.5 million in damages. Reagan Sahadi, the attorney representing the family of one of the workers who died in the crash, says the jury was disgusted by the actions of a greedy and irresponsible bus company, and the award telegraphs a warning to bus company operators who cut corners and exploit workers from Mexico.

Gunnison, CO: A bus crash in Colorado has resulted in serious, but not life-threatening, injuries to eight passengers. Several other passengers suffered minor injuries in the bus crash, which occurred when a tour bus veered off a mountain highway. The driver of the bus was not hurt when the bus crashed, but more than 35 passengers were taken to hospital with minor injuries. One of the seriously injured was an 11-year-old girl.

Port Barre, LA: Three children have been critically injured and a further 18 hurt after a tractor-trailer crashed into a school bus that had its lights flashing and stop signs extended.

Salt Lake City, UT: Three Japanese tourists are dead after the driver of the tour bus they were riding in lost control of the vehicle. A further 11 others were injured. The bus accident happened on Monday evening just outside Cedar City, the Utah Highway Patrol report.

Phoenix, AZ: Six people died in a commercial passenger bus crash early this morning on Interstate 10 south of Phoenix, Arizona. According to a spokesperson with the Arizona Department of Public Safety (ADPS), the the bus rear ended a car while gliding along the highway.
