Miami, FL: One day before divers found the 17th body in the wreckage of the Costa Concordia cruise liner, at Giglio island, Italy two US law firms and a consumer group filed a maritime class-action lawsuit in the US demanding at least $160,000 for each passenger.

Giglio, Italy: Twenty-five passengers and four crew on board the wrecked cruise ship Costa Concordia are still missing according to the Italian Coast Guard, and at least 6 people have died in the maritime accident.

At least three people are dead and as many as 70 more are unaccounted for following a cruise ship accident in Italy. It is not known what caused the cruise ship crash on Saturday, although officials have said that the cruise ship suffered a 160-foot gash along the hull. Among those who died in the boating accident were two French passengers and a Peruvian crewman.

Baja, MX: An American tourist is dead and five other people are missing following a boat accident off the Baja Peninsula in Mexico. A tour boat carrying 43 people capsized off the east coast of the peninsula, at 2:30 am on Sunday, according to the US Coast Guard, who is assisting Mexican authorities in search and rescue operations.

Delaware River, DL: A boat accident on the Delaware River earlier today ended with all 37 passengers in the river. Two people on board have not been accounted for.

Dallas, TX: A boat manufacturer was ordered by a federal jury to pay millions of dollars to a young man who lost part of his leg in a boating accident. Eighteen-year-old Jacob Brochtrup lost so much blood in the accident that he was clinically dead when he arrived at the hospital.
