Napa County, CA

A class action lawsuit has been filed against American Canyon, Calistoga, Napa, St. Helena, and Yountville. The lawsuit claims the cities' sidewalks and walkways are inaccessible to disabled people because some are not paved, have no usable curb cuts or ramps, are too narrow, have uneven or broken pavement, and have protruding objects that impede wheelchairs, scooters and walkers. The suit claims Napa County cities' sidewalks violate the Americans with Disabilities Act. The lawsuit was filed by George Louie of West Sacramento, who uses a wheelchair and who has filed more than 1,000 lawsuits across California alleging disability violations.
