Mongoose Youth ATVs Recalled

Throttle Sticks, Posing Serious Risk of Injury or Death

About 1,700 Model Year 2008 Mongoose Youth ATVs are being recalled by KYMCO USA. A manufacturing defect in the carburetor can cause the throttle to stick open, posing a risk of serious injury or death to the rider.

This recall involves model year 2008 Mongoose 50cc, 70cc and 90cc Youth ATVs. KYMCO is printed on a label located on the front of the vehicle, and the model name is printed on a label located on each side of the fuel tank.

The ATVs were manufactured in Taiwan, and sold through KYMCO dealers nationwide from August 2007 through June 2008.
