Loss of Speed Control on Bush Hog Off-Road Vehicle Prompts Recall

Consumers Warned to Stop Using the Product Immediately

Approximately 4,000 off-road utility vehicles manufactured by Bush Hogg LLC of Selma AL, are being recalled due to the potential for the throttle cable to freeze when temperatures drop below freezing. This in turn, causes failure of the engine to return to idle when the operator takes his or her foot off of the accelerator pedal.

To-date, the company has received 52 reports of incidents involving the utility vehicle, including one leg fracture injury.

The off-road utility vehicle was sold through dealerships nationwide from January 2004 through March 2008.
