Flu Shot Reactions Reported to FDA.

Influenza Vaccine is a term used to encompass a number of products, manufactured by several pharmaceutical companies, consisting of live or dead influenza cells, administered prior to Flu season in order to protect individuals against the Influenza virus. Use of the vaccines have resulted in reports of neurological side effects and autoimmune conditions such as Guillain-Barré Syndrome. Guillain-Barré syndrome is a disorder in which the body's immune system attacks part of the peripheral nervous system. Some symptoms of this disorder include weakness or tingling sensations in the legs. In many instances, the weakness and abnormal sensations spread to the arms and upper body. These symptoms can increase in intensity until the patient is almost totally paralyzed.

Other reactions and/or side effects that have been reported include weakness, dizzyness, aches, sore muscles and joints, and severe anaphylactic shock.

Swine Flu Vaccine Linked to Severe Allergic Reactions in Canada

GlaxoSmithKline has asked the Canadian government to hold back a batch of H1N1 vaccine that could be linked to a higher rate of severe allergic reactions. I received the swine flu vaccine and then the booster shot which my clinic had me come back for it because they were out of stock. These vaccinations we're done in 2009. This is the only flu vaccine I have ever had. I had an X-STOP placed into my L3-L4 by wrong site surgery. My surgeon called me back 2 weeks later informing of his mistake. I allowed him to leave that one in and he placed another X-STOP into the correct position L4-L5. Ten days later I had to go back for another surgery to treat a staph infection. Shortly after this immune disease I was diagnosed with narcolepsy. I have been suffering with this debilitating disease and from my studies on this disease I noticed an outbreak of narcolepsy from swine flu vaccine which can be set of by flu, auto immune disease or other triggers. For the record, I did not take legal action on my surgeon or the hospital. This flu vaccine is the only one I have ever taken in my lifetime. The only reason I did take it was because of pressure from my clinic and the scare tactics of giving it to my grandchildren. I am tired and have been suffering from this outbreak of narcolepsy, which I believe is from the swine flu vaccine.

have continuing complications within 3 days of flu shot, 2 years ago this September...
now being treated by number 1 neurologist in country...after many specialists since it hobbled me.

I am homebound/bedbound since then...

I was perfectly healthy no health problems whatsoever and then after the shot I got sick and came down with Gestational Diabetes. No history in my family. I have been plagued with sickness and diagnosed with a number of illnesses and syndromes ever since. I suffer with debilitating illness that started as soon as I took that Flu Shot. That was the first one that I have had.
