Gulf War Syndrome is Real, Panel Confirms

Neurotoxic Insecticides and Pyridostigmine Bromide Pills Identified as Causes

A report just released by a Veterans' Affair advisory panel has stated that scientific evidence leaves no question that Gulf War Illness is real. Furthermore, it has identifiable causes, and carries serious consequences for affected veterans.

Exposure to neurotoxic compounds, specifically insecticides, are considered to be the most likely cause of the illness. The report also states that carbamate pyridostigmine bromide pillls taken by up to 250,000 troops sent to the region, is another cause. The pills were used as possible protection against nerve agents.

Additionally, the report states that Gulf War illness is linked to diverse biological alterations that affect the brain and nervous system; that Gulf War veterans have a significantly higher rate of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis compared with other veterans; and the death rate from brain cancer is higher in this population.

I was married to a Gulf War Veteran for 20 years. I tested positive for the micro plasm years ago. I do have health issues today. My ex's name is Orville Humphries and I had him sign up for the Gulf War class action lawsuit. I do not know the outcome of that and would like to know as we have not been together now for a few years.
I am looking for information to see if I can also be included in that lawsuit or have rights to the disease he gave me.
Thank you for your time and consideration.

I am Retired SSG from the Gulf War I understand what all my fellow military colleagues are saying there is so much pain with chronic muscle and joints terrible rashes that they still can't diagnose and they still don't have anything that will get rid of the issues I was diagnosed with an unknown diagnosis when i came home and this is the same diagnosis over twenty five years later
the same pain the same suffering we all had to take this unknow white pill before leaving the country no choice it was a military order we don't have a clue what it was sometime i just want to give-up I'm tried of the pain and all the rashed and scaling sleeplessness ,the list goes on and on what secret are they really keeping from us is this we really can't get the real treatment that we need, Now they have us Registering under (Airborne Hazardous Chemical Burn Pitt) No Kidding we have been complaining and suffering for Years I would hate to think that Private Chemical Companies are begin protected and we (Gulf War Veterans are forgotten about) .If there is a class action lawsuit please count me in I would like justice from any of these companies that may have contributed to any of our unnecessary on on pain (Called Unknown Illness) someone knows why were sick and what is causing our pain

Thank Retired SSG R. E.

I am a Marine veteran who has been given VA health benefits due to the area we were in (oil fires). They have placed me in same category as Agent orange and nuclear tested individuals. I was 47 and had 2 strokes and have zero history of stroke in family. I have suffered from gastrointestinal problems for 20 years and have new problems arise since the stroke that are unexplainable such as weakness in muscles that were previously very strong

Hello, I am a Gulf War veteran who served in Operation Desert Shield/Storm. I was ordered to take those small white pills to counter the nerve agent while deployed. I am currently receiving 40% disability from the VA. I am appealing a few other of my illnesses that were denied. As a soldier, you are given orders and you follow through with those orders. We were given medications and immunization a that we had no idea about. Our concern was making it back home alive. 25 years later, we didn't realize all the medical complications that this has caused. Can I join the class action lawsuit against the company that manufactured, these medications? Thank you.
