Cell Phone Interferes with 911 Calls

The "Circket EZ" cell phone has been recalled as a software problem causes interference with 911 calls, and the operator may not be able to hear the caller or vice versa.

About 285,000 units have been sold, and consumers should stop using the phone immediately. Units affected by the recall are model number "CRKJ88BKIT".

Units sold after March 2008, and units with a model number ending in the letter "B" are not affected by the recall.

Consumers should return their phone to Cricket for a free software repair (866) 441-1577.
