Calgary, AB: A man in Calgary, Alberta, has filed a potential class action against Coca Cola over allegations that it promoted its Vitamin Water beverage as a health drink, when in fact it contains over 30 grams of sugar, thereby misleading people into thinking the product is healthy.
According to the statement of claim, Calgary resident Larry Guilloux would not have bought the drink had he known how much sugar it contained. By way of comparison, a 591-millilitre bottle of Vitaminwater has 120 calories, while a regular 355-millilitre can of Coke contains 160 calories.
Guilloux's statement of claim takes issue with the name Vitaminwater and its labelling — a "nutrient enhanced water beverage" — and casts doubt on the health benefits of the drink.

My sons are drinking the vitamin water for couple years, bring them to school as supplement drink and I think it's healthy. But last year, the older one went check his blood sugar, it was high. Since he is only 10, his pediatrician Dr. Was reviewing his diet, and suggested stopped these high sugar drinks include the vitamin water. That's really bad they put the advertising and let the consumers though those are healthy.
