Kraft Foods

A class action lawsuit has been filed against the makers of Capri Sun. The lawsuit claims Kraft employed deceptive marketing to trick consumers into thinking the product is healthier than it actually is. Capri Sun are foil pouches filled with a solution of water, high-fructose corn syrup, and small amounts of juice. Capri Sun claims to be 'All Natural' but is actually filled with high-fructose corn syrup, which is created by a complex industrial process performed in refineries using centrifuges, hydroclones, ion-exchange columns, backed-bed reactors, and other high tech equipment. The suit was filed in Florida state court in Palm Beach County and alleges the 'All Natural' claims are in direct violation of the state's Deceptive and Unfair Trade Practices Act.
