Walmart's Tire and Lube Service Centers

Walmart's Tire and Lube Service Centers

by furever1 » Dec-01-04 5:00 pm

I used to have a perfectly running Ford truck that I could count on to do every thing for me, that is, until Walmart got a hold of it.
I let them perform a routine oil change on my truck and after two and one-half hours of waiting they said my truck was ready. By the time I got it home it was knocking and loosing power. I called a tow truck to have towed to my mechanic. When the tow truck pulled the truck onto the rollback I noticed a lot of oil under the truck, extremely unusual for this truck which never leaked oil. Once the mechanic put it on the lift they found the oil filter and oil plug loose and called me. I immediately called the store.
The following occured after the initial complaint:
The Tire and Lube manager tried to blame me for driving my truck "so far" but the mechanic explained to him I had only driven it far enough to get home and had every reason to believe there would be no problem getting home.
The Tire and Lube manager and Field supervisor tried to blame the damage to my engine on a faulty oil pump but the mechanics and Dealership told them it was working fine.
The Field Supervisor, Claims Adjuster and Regional Supervisor tried to blame it on the trucks age. Once again the mechanics and dealership told them they were wrong and by now one of thier own employees said the truck was running fine when he pulled it into the bay.
The Claims Adjuster said that the mechanics tampered with the evidence when they tightenned up the oil filter, they never tightenned the oil plug.
The Claims Adjuster kept making me call back at a time good for him, this made it difficult for me because I was always working when he wanted me to call back. Eventually I had to give up because by now, 6 months later, my cell phone bills were killing me. To make matters worse I wasn't supposed to use my cell phone on the job, not even at lunch and everyone from Walmart and thier claims dept. knew that. I had to give up.

I would like to see all of the people who have had thier vehicles harmed by Walmart or Sams join in on a Class Action Suit. I would certainly join the crusade especially since I'm only working parttime now.

I'd join in the class action suit. They damaged my car and simply because they're such a huge chain expect to just get away with it.

I would appreciate any help I can get. I am currently experiencing the same problem due to an oil change performed by Walmart.
