CareFirst BlueCross BlueShield

A class action lawsuit has been filed against CareFirst BlueCross BlueShield for overcharging policyholders millions of dollars by prematurely increasing premiums permitted by their health insurance policies. The lawsuit alleges CareFirst uses a policy provision allowing it to increase premiums on certain policyholder birthdays, but does so on the first day of the month in which the birthday occurs. CareFirst's typical policyholder contract allows for a rate increase when the oldest insured individual in a household turns the ages of 1, 6, 18, 30, 40, 50, or 60.

My complaint relates to cheating me out of coverage by making up unreasonably low "allowed amounts" based on nothing and for the past 4 years never answering my question about what the allowed amounts are based on. Are there any lawsuits on this topic that I can join, or is it a complaint you would pursue? The details of my complaint are here in the review by D. M. of Silver Spring, MD:

I was switched to a less desirable policy, fought for MONTHS to get reinstated when I never tried to cancel or stop paying.
