Not compensated for time workedSubmitted 2010-03-31Defendant: IT Personnel Overtime (unpaid overtime) During early 2009 (April) I was working for a company as an IT Manager. During this time we incurred significant issues with a computer virus. Under the direction of the CIO I was expected to complete various tasks within a certain time frame resulting in many 12 plus hour days. As the company listed me as exempt, I was not offered overtime pay nor days off as compensation. When I requested time off to rest, I was given 3 hours, while still on call. I was the only employee during this time in the IT department and was responsible for managing/supporting three offices. -- Maryland * The views printed here do not necessarily represent the views of LawyersandSettlements.com but are solely the views of the author.
