denial of medical claimSubmitted 2008-07-10Defendant: ^Bad Faith Insurance I purchased a Medicare Advantage Plan and pay an extra premium for better coverage. They sent me a book when I enrolled listing a hospital as one of their providers. In January 2008 they sent me the same information. I was hospitalized in May 2008 for 48 hours with a small stroke. In June 2008, that hospital was still listed on their website as a provider. I printed that out. I have the books. They denied my claim stating that that hospital hasn't been a provider since April 2003 and that the books must have been an oversight. There is more to the story about other expenses resulting from that hospitalization, but I'm trying to keep it brief. -- Pennsylvania * The views printed here do not necessarily represent the views of LawyersandSettlements.com but are solely the views of the author.
