Our Geodeck is failing - one of the stairs has splitSubmitted 2008-05-06Defendant: Kadant Composites Inc. (defective materials) We had a new home built three years ago and the builder used Geodeck for the decking. Our house is only used on vacations, perhaps a month or two each year so there is not much activity on the deck. During our last visit I noticed a plank on one of the steps had cracked and upon further inspection the material had rotted. This led me to investigate Geodeck, where I found out about the recall and the fact that Kadant Composites was out of business. The current owner of Geodeck, LDI Composites, has refused to cover the deck under warranty. I am now pursuing the builder who should have known that Geodeck was under recall when they built the deck in Octover 2004. -- Kansas |
