My 16 month old son has fluorosis.Submitted 2007-11-09Defendant: Fluoride When my son was 6 months old his pediatrician told me it was time for fluoride, for cavity prevention. I filled the prescription a couple of months later and two days after the initial dose, I noticed white flecks and contacted his Doctor. Went for a Doctor's visit and she told me that fluoride is now not recommended until the age of 1 year as posted on the day she saw him (Group practice.) She was unable to provide posted notice and I changed Pediatricians. A week ago, I spoke with his present Doctor and she assured me that fluoride is fine, he is over a year now so I gave him a dose yesterday and now his coordination is off and his teeth is all gray and spotted. This is absolutely unacceptable, I am livid! Upon doing a little research why the hell is fluoride recommended? Why is fluoride added to fruit juices and cereal? Why is there no label to their product? They can print on that it was manufactured in a facility with peanuts but not include arsenic/fluoride? How can anyone measure the right amount of fluoride if it's added to an array of items that is consumed on a near daily basis? I want the culprit prosecuted, you have my commitment! -- New York * The views printed here do not necessarily represent the views of LawyersandSettlements.com but are solely the views of the author.
