Zyprexa, Canada

Class action status is being sought in a lawsuit filed in the Supreme Court of British Columbia against Eli Lilly on behalf of patients who took the company's anti-psychotic drug Zyprexa. The suit alleges that the company minimized the heath risks of taking Zyprexa, and claims that Zyprexa has been associated with "increased risk of developing diabetes, hyperglycemia, pancreatitis, ketoacidosis and other injuries."

The company is facing 135 product liability suits over Zyprexa in the United States and at least one lawsuit has been filed in Ontario.
