Whirlpool Faces Legal Action over Dishwasher Fires

New York, NY: Reports of Whirlpool dishwashers catching fire due to a product defect has prompted a class action lawsuit alleging Whirlpool, the parent company of Kitchenaid, knew about the defect but did nothing.

According to news reports hundreds of people have been affected. And, the suit claims, this is a defect in the control board that creates a substantial and unreasonable risk of property damage, injury and death.
