A class action lawsuit has been approved against the city of Seattle on behalf of between 10,000 and 20,000 people whose cars were seized under a Seattle impound law between March 2000 and December 2002. The suit alleged that police unreasonably and wrongly seized the cars of the plaintiffs, who consist of people who were stopped for driving with suspended or revoked licenses.
