Screen Actors Guild

A lawsuit has been filed and is seeking class action status against the guild for allegedly collection millions of dollars in foreign residuals on behalf of its members and non-members, but has failed to pass on the profits. The lawsuit was filed in Los Angeles Superior Court and claims the Screen Actors Guild intentionally collected and took possession of specifically identifiable amounts of money belonging to actors and actresses and have held these monies in their sole possession for an unreasonable length of time, thereby preventing actors and actresses from accessing money that is rightfully theirs.
