Ritalin Heart Attack and Stroke

Ritalin (Methylphenidate) is a Schedule II stimulant often used for the treatment of Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) and Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD). One study approximated that 85 to 90 percent of Ritalin prescriptions were written for young children and adolescents with ADHD.

Ritalin and other ADHD drugs have been linked by FDA received reports to heart attacks, strokes, hypertension, and myocardial infarction. Some of these reported cases have led to death.
