PepsiCo

A class action lawsuit against PepsiCo in California charges the soft drink giant with false advertising. The Pepsi Twist Drink contains ascorbic acid and potassium benzoate, which together produce the carcinogen chemical benzene when exposed to heat and light. The Food and Drug Administration recently found some soft drinks contained benzene above the maximum acceptable level considered safe in US tap water.
