A class action lawsuit claims that New Mexico title insurance companies gave money to a nonprofit foundation co-founded by the state's Superintendent of Insurance in an attempt to set high title insurance rates. The suit alleges that the companies set unreasonably high rates for title insurance as to the price and terms of title insurance in New Mexico and restrained competition.
