NCAA and Ticketmaster Racketeering

A class action suit has been filed against NCAA and Ticketmaster claiming they are violating racketeering laws by charging fans a non-refundable fee to enter a lottery that may give them the right to buy tickets to sporting events.

The companies have a monopoly on sporting events and concert tickets, and allegedly charge outrageous fees, reaping millions of dollars from fans that have no other options if they want to attend these events.

Apparently, fans can apply for Final Four tickets up to ten times, but if they win tickets, nine of the entry fees are kept by the organizations.
