Insurance and Living-Trust Companies

A class action lawsuit has been filed against several insurance companies and living-trust companies that market to elderly people, including Estate Preservation Inc., Ameri-Estate Legal Plan Inc., American Investors Life Insurance Co., American Equity Investment Life Insurance Co., and Gentry Group of Dallas. The suit claims that that the companies sponsor free estate-planning seminars for seniors as a way "to learn about the senior's assets and manipulate them into purchasing manifestly inappropriate financial investments for seniors, namely annuities."
