Integris Southwest Community Hospital

More than a dozen people, including employees, patients and visitors at the Oklahoma City hospital have tested positive for exposure to tuberculosis after coming in contact with a nurse who had been diagnosed with the disease. All victims so far seem to be from Oklahoma and were infected between January 1, 2006 and August 11, 2006. A class action lawsuit has been filed in Oklahoma County District Court against the hospital. Public health officials sent letters to more than 2,000 people with potential exposure to the nurse, and efforts to screen them will continue.
