Illegal Strip Search Lawsuit Reaches $2.16 Million Settlement


This is a settlement for the Civil / Human Rights lawsuit.

A settlement arising from a class action filed on behalf of people who were illegally strip searched after being arrested in Dauphin County between September 16, 2005 and March 12, 2008 has been reached.

The strip searches were allegedly conducted on any one who was arrested during that time, no matter how minor the charge.

The settlement is for a reported $2.1 million.
