Francis X. Ketchner, Jr. et al vs. General Electric
Case No. : 2:06-CV-553-FtM-29
U.S. District Court: Middle District of Florida, Ft. Meyers Division
A lawsuit seeking class action status has been filed against General Electric asserting certain claims in connection with alleged defective refrigerators. The suit alleges that the refrigerators contained a defect that results in freezing and in some cases, cracking of the water filter. This in turn can cause (among other things) the following:
- intermittent and/or no water dispensing
- intermittent and/or no ice dispensing
- freezing of vegetables
- fresh food becoming too cold
- the flooding of water from the cracked filter
Flooding of water from the cracked filter could also lead to water and property damage to the home.
