A lawsuit has been filed and is seeking class action status against the global logistics provider for allegedly engaging in various forms of anticompetitive practices. The lawsuit was filed in federal court in New York and claims Expeditors International of Washington, Inc. and seven other of the largest European and North American-based global logistics providers, were involved in antitrust practices regarding their freight forwarding services.
In October 2007, Expeditors disclosed it had received a subpoena from the US Department of Justice seeking information and records relating to an investigation of air cargo freight forwarders.
