Miami, FL: Optimus is announcing the recall of Eugenio Brezzi Truffle Puree products imported from Italy, because they have been deemed under-processed due to a defect found in the manufacturing process of the puree.

Because of this problem, there is a possibility that the products could be contaminated with microorganisms or other harmful substances. While no illness have been reported, there is a possible risk for serious adverse health consequences, such as gastrointestinal disease, from consumption of these products.

The truffle puree products were distributed between the period of February 2009 – July 2010 to outlets in the following locations: AR, AK, CA, FL, KY, LA, ME, MA, MD, NJ, NM, NY, NC, RI, TX, TN, and VA. For a complete list of affected products see the link below.
