Disability or Medical Condition Discrimination

She approached her retail chain employer with a request for accommodation of her condition by way of reduced work hours that included a doctor note with reduced hour work restrictions. Instead of having an interactive dialogue with her about her accommodation request as required under the California Fair Employment and Housing Act, the national retail chain simply fired her.

She is now seeking damages for emotional distress, back and front pay, attorney fees, and punitive damages for the wrongful termination, retaliation, and failure to accommodate.
